Using Nvidia 3D Vision and the HelixMod converts them from 2D into stereoscopic 3D to play on the virtual theater. One click launches your game into a VR environment that is a virtual giant stereoscopic screen, like a 3D home theater. And then I tried TriDef - and figured out what 3D actually is - since 3D with TriDef was so much better than with VorpX (which is none). I got an android app called iDisplay which basically turns my tablet into a second PC monitor, I looked into the rendering software people are using to play games in side-by-side stereoscope only to see two programs mentioned, TriDef and VorpX, but they are both paid software, so I was hoping for any kind of free or open-source alternative I could work with. HelixVision starts with an easy to use interface to your installed games. VorpX alternatives - what are you guys using I've been a VorpX user for a while now and I was pretty happy about it - I mostly use Oculus+VorpX to play flight sims - was playing some Rise Of Flight recently. I've wanted a good, cheap 3D gaming method for a while, and though I'd love to get an Oculus Rift once the consumer model is out, I unfortunately, despite my best efforts, am unemployed, leaving me with no income and very little cash to spare. I started looking into the possibility of doing a little project turning my 8" android tablet into a 3D monitor so I could then build a custom 3D headset around it for my PC games. Free TriDef/VorpX Alternative (Stereo 3D)?
